Fat, sick and nearly dead

Hubs and I watched this show last night and it really opened our eyes. We decided when he goes on annual leave we will be doing this guys juice fast together.
He has type 2 diabetes that is out of control once again and his medication isn't working. So something drastic needs to be done. And for me it couldn't hurt, I need to lose 30kg at least to be a good healthy weight.
We will do the 10 day fast and see how we feel and from there maybe continue the whole long haul of the fast for the full 60 days.

Make sure he talks to his doctor before starting, dieting can be dangerous in diabetics. Also it's only a 60 day thing, what happens when thats over? Im not trying to be a bitch, I can just say from experience, going on diets then once its over its like ok, now what?

be careful, my sister tried one of those juice fasting diets, she ended up in the hospital after five days because of dehydration, she was weak and shaky, she said all she wanted to do is sleep, she was 27 and in pretty god health to begin with, she just wanted to loose a little weight fast.....

The first few days your body detoxes, the next week your tastes buds change, then after that you are so accustomed to just consuming fruit, veg and nuts you won't want to eat anything but. After that you slowly introduce meat. No more arbs an continue just eating meat, fruit, veg, and nuts. No more processed stuff. It was really interesting and informative.

You make your own juice. Through nuts, veg and fruits. It's like being a vegetarian in a liquid diet. You ingest more of these through the juice instead of just eating it. You drink it all day everyday an consume a lot of water in the process and exercise daily, not vigorously, but mostly cardio.

It is REALLY smurfing expensive too. I tried it. I didn't last long though because I am hypoglycemic and it made me really sick. Plus, expensiveeee.

I say from experience, liquid diets are extremely mentally exhausting. Your start craving to chew things like crazy. Good luck, just be prepared for it to be tougher than it sounds.

Yeah that's why we decided to start it when he goes on holiday lol, so he doesn't have to worry about bring crazy at work.
The guy said he hated everyone and everything or the first tree days. Explained as though an addicted person coming off from their addiction, in hinesight it was his addiction to food.

Thank you!
I'm really hoping it helps him. I'm doing it mainly for emotional support and motivation. Plus the bonus weight loss haha. We start on Boxing Day.
