Problem with knee
posted 3rd Dec
For about two months ive had knee pain. I was doing the 30 day shred when it started hurting. I was told I had tendinitis. Ive been wearing flat shoes and a knee brace for a month wit no relief. I saw an orthopedic. She thinks I may have torn a piece if my meniscus. I go for an mri wednesday. Lately my knee pops when I turn and I noticed it locking up on me. Ive used ice and heat and elevating. It hurts to walk. What else can I do?

That Does sound like meniscus. There's not much you can do :/ I tore my acl 5 years ago but waited til recently for surgery. I tore my meniscus several times during those 5 years and the only thing that really helped it was rest.

If you tore the meniscus the only 'cure' is surgery. I have had 3 surgeries on my right knee because of a torn meniscus and the last time they completely removed my medial meniscus because it was so badly damaged. Yay for early onset arthritis..oy vey.
If you do have to have surgery make sure you are very careful during recovery.

I dealt with something similar. My patella was out of alignment.

I had an arthroscope on my right knee, mri showed a joiny effusion when I had surgery they found a meniscal tear. This knee hurts worse than when my right knee hurt
