Help with interview tomorrow!
posted 3rd Dec
So DH has an interview with progressive tomorrow and I am helping him study for it. They ask the question, What is Progressive... Well I typed up something that DH worked on and I am not sure how to close and it just feels incomplete. Should I add some of their history in *like when they started, founders, and milestones* and maybe awards they have won? Y'alls help would be greatly appreciated!
When I think of Progressive I actually recall y’alls spokesperson, Flo! She is very fun, outgoing, and seems very easy to approach. I think that she was an amazing addition to Progressive because she gives Progressive a friendly and approachable face.
Progressive actually covers a lot more than your average insurance provider does. I found that Progressive provides insurance for your auto, home, motorcycle, boat, RV, commercial trucks, life, health, umbrella, and even pet insurance. Progressive is actually the first company to provide coverage for your pets if they are in an accident with you or if they are injured in a home fire or theft.
Another item that sets Progressive apart from other insurance providers is their snapshot discount program. This program can save drivers up to 30% on their auto insurance and who doesn’t want to save money?! I wouldn't say 'Progrrssive' so much... Also I wouldn't say y'all.. afterall, this is a professional interview.
I would cut it down a bit too. They're going to want a real response, I wouldn't bother on a huge speech.
I would say something about Progressive being piece of mind, meaning they protect you from the unexpected and the expected.

Ok. I just don't know what they want. My friend works there and she is like, make it like a paragraph or so so I made it more like two. DH needs this job so it is being seriously overthought.

I dont think you answered the question at all. You covered what you think of them and what they sell. I would work on a shorter answer, no one wants to hear a rehearsed answer. I think you are over complicating a simple answer.
What is progressive:
Progressive is an insurance company that sells.....
Why do you want to work for progressive:
Go into the whole first paragraph you wrote.
I also agree cut out Y'all its a professional setting after all.

I've never worked for progressive, but I worked for State Farm for 6 years, and after going through several interviewing processes for myself and sitting in on others, I can honestly say that over doing it can harm more than help.
What will he be doing?
When you think of that particular company, what is the first thing that comes to your mind as far as what the company is about? (not visually as far as flo goes, lol.)

He would be a customer service rep. I bombed my interview with them because when I think of them I think insurance and that is it.

No idea what that is. They do 14 weeks of training before they let you do it on your own though.

It's a license required in the state of Texas to give any kind of insurance info etc.

I guess he earns it when he does the training. All they require is a high school diploma to get in there.
