pedi appt tomorrow
posted 3rd Dec
Looks like we'll be hitting the pedi tomorrow. Fever keeps spiking to 103 and he can't keep anything down but crackers... blah. I hate to expose him to even more germs. I even tried the brat diet but he can only keep down crackers and liquids so at least he's staying kinda hydrated.

Poor thing!
My little one only wanted pediasure when she was sick and I'd give her those Pedialite Popcicles. Hope the fever passes soon!

Thanks. Sadly he hates pedilite. So I've been giving water, diluted tea, and sprite occasionally.
He's 2 1/2. I'm hoping it's not strep cuz he's had enough antibiotics this year already.

strep is very rare and there is no vomiting with it. Sounds more like a stomach bug, all you can do for that is brat diet and hydration.
But it is good your taking him in, it will ease your mind at least. I hate it when my baby is sick.

My son has had strep 3 times already in his life and for some weird reason he always throws up with it, even his doctor doesn't know why he does it. And Idk where he keeps picking it up at either

You know how rare that is?? omg. thats weird. Do they do a culture each time? If you open his mouth and shine a light back there, if you see spots and white puss on the sides .
thats crazy though. hope he feels better.

I know. He got it the first time around his first birthday and his doctor and I were completely shocked. And since then he's had it a few more times plus some "throat infections" and they do a swab to test him, not sure if that's what you mean by a culture. It takes about 10 minutes to see a the result.
Up until he turned 2 he used to get ear infections back to back roughly every six weeks. And then he just grew out of that. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the recurring strep and throat infections or if he's just "lucky" like that
