2 year old nightly cough

DD has a cough for last 10 days (with a few nights without one). Its a dry cough and only occurs at night time when she is sleeping. She got over being sick right before she started having the cough (she just had a fever for a week then had a rash). I gave her some natural cough syrup the other night when she seem to not be able to catch a break. As I type this she is coughing. Does this sound like Postnasal drip? She has a well check in a few days so I plan on asking then as well.

I am just getting over a head cold myself.
