Should I switch my docs??

I will be going to my second apt tommrow ... I am 90% postive they wont do an ultra sound .... I will be 9 weeks 1 day tommrow... and I SEE everyone doing theres at 7 weeks and such... and I want mine already haha

I wouldnt switch for that reason. Many Dr's don't give ultrasounds that early, I didnt with my DD but did with DS because I was high risk.

They didn't do one at your first appointment? That's odd. I had one done last week at my first appointment, I was 8w3d by my dates, 8w6d by the u/s. I kinda wanna go by the u/s because that means I'm that much closer to the "all day sickness" going away  

Most of the time they only do them that early if there is a reason to... say a suspected miscarriage or for dating. A lot of the time, especially in the case of your first, the only ultrasound you will get is the 20 week anatomy scan.

It all depends on the doc, really. Here, it's pretty routine for the docs to do 2 u/s only...the first one to determine dates/placement/whatever, and the 16-20 week check/gender scan.

my first apt i was 5 weeks ... they didnt do anything

The only reason my doctor did one at mine was because I recently had a miscarriage. It honestly depends on the doctor. I had my first actual ultrasound last Monday. but every doctor does them differently... I was 3 months when I finally got mine with my son... or 2 and a half at least.
