His family didn't even know I was pregnant

and I just had the baby. I don't know if you ladies remember me but my SO kept me and our daughter a secret for years and finally told his family about our daughter. He didn't say much about me but I don't care as long as they know about Avie. Anyways, I had Amerie 2 days ago and although I don't expect them to be here since they don't live near us I wanted to take pictures of her to send to them but he didn't want to. I added one of his siblings on Facebook so that she could see recent pictures of Avie so when I uploaded pictures of Amerie she messaged me and asked me about her and I told her it was her new niece. Come to find out, she didn't know I was pregnant let alone still in her brother's life. I'm pissed because he's talking about marriage yet won't tell his family about us. He says it's because of who they are and what they're about but I've been facebook friends with his sister for weeks now and we don't talk much but from what she posts she sounds pretty sane and stable. I messaged her and asked her if her brother had any other women in his life and now I'm waiting for a reply.

My automatic reaction is to think that he's hiding you from his family in order to hide you from some other life he has. Maybe that's just me.

I would be livid. If he is hiding you and the kids from his family I would be questioning what else he is hiding

I would demand explanation and probably split

If he doesn't want to have his family in his life at all that's one thing but just hiding you and his kids from them is completely different. Inwould be demanding some answers, some involvement, or I would split.

Sounds like he's hiding a double life. I couldn't trust a man, let alone marry one who would keep me and my babies secret from his family. It sounds sketchy as smurf.

I'm hoping he just hates his family and doesn't want anything to do with them, instead of leading some double life.
DH doesn't talk to his family and I don't talk to my dad. DHs brother added me on FB and said he had no idea I was pregnant or anything about the baby. But it doesn't surprise me with how much DH talks about his dysfunctional family. But going years without saying anything at all to them, or giving you a reason why, is weird.

Definitely sounds like he is hiding something. I don't talk to my family either but they know I'm married with kids.
