Jillian Michaels, 30 day shred or no more trouble zones?

posted 3rd Dec
Ok so I have been trying well thinking about trying, but mostly failing at losing weight... I'm 255 pounds, give or take depending on the day. I'm about 5'4 ish.... Needless to say, the extra weight is not attractive, and I've been down about my body for years lacking the motivation to actually get of my ass and change it. I don't want to be super skinny or anything, I'm pretty curvaceous, and would like to keep my curves. My stomach though.... Disgusts me... So with that being said I'm way out of shape and so I'm wondering what the best method is to start with. I'm not interested in p90x out anything that extreme, way too much for me and not my goal body. I refuse to take diet pills, and i won't 'diet' I'm working on proportions and cutting out unnecessary sugars, but I'm not going to shockk my body with some crash diet that will give me quick but not long lasting results...

I have both the Jillian Michaels videos, and thought about starting one.... Sticking to it will be the challenge for me. But i think this time I'm really ready to commit...

I have a ton a great recipes if you would like them. I have posted them on here for other ppl before and they really liked them.

Before I had my kids I lost 100 lbs and it took me almost a yr to do it. I would say it was one of the hardest things I had ever done...but at the same time it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. Eating clean is a great way to go. I realized over time there are soooo many things I can eat and enjoy and not feel like I am not getting much or starving. Also just so you know the 30 day shred is great but if you are out of shape I suggest walking 1 hour a day and then if you can afford it maybe join curves (they always have specials) and do that 3-4 times a day for 1 hour as well. I did that at first and dropped my 1st 50 lbs within about 4-5 months. Remember it comes off a lot slower then most would like so try not to get discouraged (just remember you are doing this for your health and not really a matter of loosing the lbs). Trust me it will come off if you stick to it.

Here are some other tips ...

1.Fill a big pitcher with water and add cucumber slices, orange slices, lemon slices, and lime...add a bunch of ice and drink that. Also you can cut up apples and add cinnamon sticks in the water and ice pitcher. I think drinking tons of water was the hard part for me, remembering to drink so much of it.

2.You can purchase CLA it helps with belly fat (link below)

3. Make sure you are taking a multi-vitamin

4. Look up "Clean Eating" recipes as you can. They are great for you and it gives you tons to choose from. It is so boring and is easy to fall off the wagon when you have to eat the same things all the time.

5. Protein shakes are great if you are in a rush in the morning or too tired to cook dinner.

6. I make sure I eat something every 2 hours, helps with metabolism and you don't feel as hungry.

8. I am going to be joining a kick boxing class soon. You don't have to do this, but I think once you are in better shape it is great to learn and add new workouts. Change things up so that your body doesn't get too used to it and your not bored.

Thank you for the advice, i looked up clean eating and that's pretty much how i eat already, i try not to buy too much processed foods, and make almost everything from scratch. I can't afford any type of memberships, and there isn't any places like that close here anyway, i live in a tiny town lol i take one a day vitamins, i might miss a few days, but i try to remember them. I also already walk a lot, i lost like 15 pounds over the summer walking, but gained a but back after the stress of moving and having to quit my job. Now I've maintained the same weight even with walking daily, that's why i need something different. I've completed 2 days of the 30 day shred now, started yesterday after posting this.
