When to transition to cow's milk??

I know at 1, you can give your LO milk, and i was wondering how did YOU make the transition from formula/breast milk to regular milk?
Did you do it over a few weeks? Or was it an over night thing?

I'm curious because he'll be 1 next month  

With my first son, we gave him a few oz's a day for a few days, then we found out he was lactose intolerant. I blamed myself for giving him too much too quickly. So We're hoping this isn't going to be an issue with LO.

I started mixing half an ounce of milk in with formula per day until it was all whole milk. He transitioned fine.

Did you start him on his 1st birthday, before or after?

It was overnight but there was no history in the family for sensitivity

After.

My son took to it right away. I gave him a sippy of it the day after his bday and he was off the bottle the day after that. He's also lactose intolerant. We give him lactaid milk.

I just switched when LO was about 16mo. (he was a premie and the dr wanted him left on formula for a little longer)

at 10 months I started giving dd a sippy of milk a day. She still only drinks one sippy of milk. I never mixed or tried to wean her. I just added it. She has since self weaned

I don't know why i'm getting so nervous about it, milk is SOOOO much cheaper than formula so i should be excited!

DD is 10 months tomorrow been having some whole milk a month now. She is up.to 2 cups a day now.

I just poured her 125ml the first day and gave it to her. No issues no problems at all.

But she has been having regular milk in someways since 6 months like in her eggs and pancakes etc....but that's 2% lol
