There is no debating the fact that people with more education tend to be more liberal. What you choose to conclude from that information is up to you.

Ours is red, and home to a big university as well, but again, that university is TCU, so.....LOL

Lol yeah it is what it is. I don't think there is an intelligence correlation because I know brilliant republicans, but the fact of the matter is, the more educated you are, the more likely you are to vote democrat. I think it comes from an overall awareness of the world with a more open minded perspective.

For me, it's easy to conclude that there is a direct correlation between education and being liberal....the majority of conservatives i've met have been ignorant beyond belief. The conservatives I've met who are educated and intelligent are usually only FISCALLY conservative, maybe pro-life, but were basically moderate or even liberal on most social issues. IMO, I really don't see how anyone with any exposure to the world or any education could possibly be socially conservative. it's just such an ignorant way of looking at the world.

The blue states as a whole are more educated than the red states.

Yeah, I agree with you there. Social conservatism is very ignorant.

I agree with all of your posts. I'm in college, and the majority of my professors have been liberal. Liberals tend to be more open-minded and less traditional than their conservative counterparts.

The majority of conservatives I have come across are EXTREMELY intolerant. Anti-gay marriage, anti-women's reproductive rights, anti-affirmative action for disadvantaged minorities, anti-help the poor get out of poverty....I could go on, but Republicans have shot themselves in the foot by alienating non-white, non-rich, pro-feminist people. And that is MORE than the forty-seven percent. ;)
