Non extravagant anniversary ideas?

What did you do to celebrate your anniversary or any ideas on what to do? our 2 year official marriage anniversary is coming up in two weeks. I don't want to do anything crazy, we are pretty non.materialistic low key thrifty sort of people. I hate going to the movies because we don't get a chance to conversate and connect (which is important since we rarely get us time due to his work schedule). Im sure dinner or food of some sort will be involved but beyond that Im not too sure. I wish there was a carnival in town lol

We went to our favorite cheeseburger place this year and that was it.

my husband was on deployment for our last 2 anniversaries and this year we will have a baby that is only a few days old. usually we just try to do good gifts because of the distance problem.  

we go to a special hole in the wall seafood restaurant that we only ever go to for special occasions. been doing ever since we got together. thats normally all we do. and we normally stay for a bit longer than we eat just to talk about life and anything else happening. its my favorite thing to do honestly. <3

what about just checking out a christmas parade or a show of lights?
