Please help, super scared mommy :(

I am one freaking out mama at the moment
So I took my son to his 6 month old check up today and was completely not worried because he handles shots wonderfully and seems to be right on track of what I know of his development, (I took 3yrs of Early Childhood Development Classes). So I answered the ^ moth old Q&A they gave me at sign-in and everything on the giant list he either does constantly&consistently or at least a few times a day/week, so yet again I wasn't worried a bit. Then we got to the physical exam...so the doc said he's doing great with every other part of his development except that some movements are a little stiff but I personally had never noticed this. I mean he had had no nap and been sitting in just his diaper in a cold room for like almost and hour...I'd be bored stiff too, but she wants us to call this TEIS place for developmental issues to get evaluated at home and see if there is MAYBE and issue. Is this doc overreacting and am I working myself up over nothing? Please help

You're right it's probably nothing. However, it's always better to be safe than sorry. I would rather have the evaluation and rule out any issues to feel better. And if the do find an issue it would be really lucky to have caught it this early so you can start working to correct it. Kwim? Relax momma, this isn't necessarily bad news.

I wouldn't worry about it. No nap and sitting waiting for an hour can make anyone unhappy.

i dont get how he is still at all though. i'm a stay at home mommy, so i'm with this child all day, every day and i've never seen him stiff unless he was scared really.

Im def the type of mom who doesnt get worked up over things unless they find a problem. Babies all develope differently and like you said it could because of him being in a cold room naked for an hour. Pediatricians just have to make sure that whatever they saw is nothing (better to be safe than sorry). I wouldnt stress too much until someone evals him and says yes he has a problem.

maybe by stiff he meant that his muscles are a little tight which could cause stiffness in movement - just a thought
