renting rant.

UGH, I wish we could move out RIGHT NOW.
Not in April, now.
Look at this house. It's a 3 bed 2 bath, 2 car garage for 700/month.
Totally beats this POS apartment we are living in now.

700.00 a month?... I'm jealous..

We are in 'low income' housing and we pay 1000.00 a month.. bla.

It's really cheap here..we like..live in the top 5 cheapest towns in America. It's really nice here too. It's because our town in built on train tracks, that part sucks.

It sucks, doesn't it? Even with 5% down payment... this house is only $560 a month. over $100 cheaper than my rent.

Yep. SO is pessimistic about it, though. Sure... the mortgage/rent is cheaper... but then you have to factor in a higher electric bill, water, sewage, internet/cable, etc. He said it'll put us well over what we're paying now. Blah.

By the time you figure in taxes and insurance, the price is always high each month than it initially seems. Our mortgage payment is around 500/month, but once you add taxes and insurance, our payment is $680 (and going up next year because taxes are raised)
Its still a good deal though so I can't complain.

I was talking about renting, lol, theres no taxes or insurance. Just rent and utilities

That's crazy cheap. Even tiny places here are about 1k a month, at least. Sometimes I wish I could move somewhere cheaper. Stupid southern California.

Well, yeah. Lol but even still... the mortgage would be about what we're paying now for rent, but we'd own the house.. and it's bigger than this apartment  


It'll be a while before we make that leap... just sucks to see what I could have.

My SIL rents a house like that, and she pays 1650.00 a month. Not including any of her utilities.

I'd cry if my rent/mortgage was $1k   The house I posted is only $130k.

We never pay over like 550/month to live in the apartment with utilities. lol It's a 2bd 1/bath.
