Just that a tracking number has been created and assigned to your shipment.

Usually means that the info for your package has been received and it should ship soon.

I think it means the person made a label for it and they have a tracking number, but it's not recorded as having entered any facility yet.

Oh that sucks. I got an email from the website I ordered off saying it had been "shipped" on the 30th.

USPS rarely updates their website. You're likely to get the package before it even says its en route.
