Ugh vent

posted 3rd Dec
Hubs boss is amazing and has helped us out so much this past year. Well he finally came out an told hubs that as manager he needs to arrive to work before his employees instead of 10:30am like he usually does. He told him this yesterday. Well this morning hubs tells me this. So I try an rush him out the door so he can make the earlier bus. He's dragging his feet and then what happens? He misses the earlier bus. Making me drive his ass to the station so he can make the earlier train, making tash late for school.

This isn't the first (not the last I'm sure) that he's missed this bus and I have to drive him.

I yelled at him telling him I'm not his mother. He is a grown ass man that needs to wake up earlier and stop expecting me to drop my morning routine to drive his lazy ass to the station. And he got upset. At me. For growling at him.

I have to get his and Natasha's lunch ready. Get Marcus changed an dressed. Feed them all lunch. Pack Natasha's school bag. Get them all breakfast. And then get myself dressed. All by 8:30am. I shouldn't have to get him up and ready too, he is quite capable. And tash cannot be late to school every morning because he can't get ready early. Smh

Ugh sorry if non of this makes sense, I realise I'm rambling.

is there no option for him to drive to work and drop the kids off first or you drop him off on the way or maybe get a second vehicle?

Is there an option for him to drive himself to work? Or possibly time to invest in another car?

My SO only ever gets up in time to give himself a shower and get dressed then eats on the run but he's never missed the bus ever. Then again, we don't have a car so there is no option of me driving him lol

I'm the only licenced driver and he works in the city which is an hour away, during peak time it's faster and easier to travel by train.

Oh it would be easier to travel by train.

I would buy an alarm that goes off REALLY loudly and put it under his side of the bed. Or tape it to the back of his side of the headboard.

My SO used to be really bad at getting up and then would say that it's my fault he's running late cos I didn't wake him up.
SO I put alarms to go off every minute on his phone when he was supposed to get up and they would get louder and louder and then I hid the phone. I was already up anyway so he is forced to get up and out of bed and find it. Then he's out of bed and has to go to the bathroom anyway so he might as well just get up.

That's a brilliant idea. He has alarms that go off every ten minutes but when they do go off he just turns them off and rolls over. I need to hide them across the room.

I kick Jason until he get's out of bed. But he's not that bad. I love the hiding it idea! He used to do that when he was single. He'd have one by the bed, then 5 minutes later one way across the room so he'd have to get up to shut it off.
