15 month old wanting to french kiss

since my daughter was born ive always kissed her on the lips and pretty much head to toe lol she loves kiss and tickle attacks. 2 weeks ago she has started trying to french kiss me. she graps my face with both hands, sticks out her toungue and tries to put it in my mouth. it freaked me out even thougg i know she doesnt understand what she is doing. my dh and i mostly just close mouth kiss and if we make out we try to do it when she isnt looking but im sure she has caught us a few times. we dontstick our tongue's out like that though so i dont know why she does that. so far she has only tried it on me and not on my dh. i dont know what to do to make her syop. ive heard tgis is notmal for kids to do so im not worried about it but i do want it to stop. any advice.?

she will grow out of it. its not a big deal. DS tried to do that to me too.

just don't kiss her like that and she'll learn

My 22 month old toddler does that and I hardly even kiss him on the lips it is mainly his cheek or forehead. I think it is just an experimenting stage because they see mommy and daddy kiss.

Just tell her no you kiss this way and show her. My son tried doing that and instead of making it seem like it was funny so he did it more, we would correct him so he stopped.

Yup, pretty normal. My son did it for a while but outgrew it.

My son never did, but my niece did. She would try to do that to anyone and to the dogs. Lol.

thanks ladies. i feel better. i asked my mom for advice and she looked at me shocked. made me feel aweful. ive been really trying hard to make sure she only sees dh and i kiss closed mouth. i pick her up and tell her lets give daddy a kiss and i show her so she does it too. i hope she grows out of it soon. ill make sure to say no next time. last time i said eww and she laughed so i dont want to encorage her to continue.
