What can I expect?

DD is going to be going for some testing after much fight with the Dr's here for Aspergers (her father has it as well) she was diagnoised with ADHD, MID and compulsion and behavirol issues as well as OCD. But when the Dr dropped her as a paitent and we got a new one, he stopped all testing and said it didnt matter what she had cause it would not make a difference.

Well ya, ya it does make a diffrence. Knowing how to deal with her and her outbursts etc.....they had her on may meds a few yrs ago for the ADHD which made her 1million times worse for the next 6 months, so we stopped. Councelling did absolutly nothing, they told us to stop letting her see her sibling (half siblings) and her anger would just magicaly go away.

So ya.

What do I expect to happen with testing for aspergers? Its not for a few months away, february but I am curious to know. Thanks

We see one of the top specialist regarding ASD's after fighting with the pedi and a behavioral specialist who both swore up and down my son had ADHD. I just knew they were way off. I told them to stick the meds up their asses. No joke.

As for the testing, visual observations. We went in a couple times for one hour appointments and they played and talked with my son.. just doing different things.

Ya they said adhd too. But reading up on the too often missed diagnosis on that I was like um ya.

Its going to cost me.1500 but its worth it. I want to know Kwim? So I can help her. I feel so bad she going on 11 in half a yr and feels so out of place with herself.
