Actually you do have a choice. You can say no. They cannot forcefully put you under the knife. That is illegal. Find a doc who does VBACs, otherwise you hsve a legal right to go against medical advice. You might have to sign some forms but you ARE allowed to say no. It is your body and therefore your choice. Unless you feel like you are truly in danger, you do not have to say yes. The doctor may not deliver your baby but if thats the case.. whays the big deal? Do you really want a doctor who you dont like delivering your baby? Someone else may have to do it but really I dont see the harm in someone else doig the delivery.

You have the right as a patient to refuse any treatment! I worked in a hospital for 5 years, and you would be surprised how many drs would push things just to make their days shorter and easier! And surprisingly how many patients would cave in and go along with it! Your hospital has a bill of rights for a reason! I dont see why you couldnt do a natural birth. your pregnancies are pretty far apart, and how does he know if this baby will have distress? it may be an easy pregnancy! you never know without trying! tell your dr how you feel, worst case scenario they will not want to do it, and they can refer you to a dr who will!
