question about orange juice
posted 3rd Dec
Ok so the last few days my baby girl has not been moving to much unless I drink orange juice then she moves around alot. I was told by several people that orange juice is not good to drink while you are pregnant because it can dehydrate you. But this is the only thing that I can drink that gets her active after being still for several hours. Just curious if I am doing the right thing with drinking this juice. I am currently 26 weeks pregnant.

Since when does orange juice dehydrate you?

I craved orange juice through my whole pregnancy and that is mostly what I drank everyday. It never dehydrated me and my baby came out perfectly healthy.

Orange Juice doesn't dehydrate you. What dusty outdated old tome did they find that in? That's ridiculous. It's good for you.

That is what I told them, because of all the vitamin C that it contains. I guess that I will continue to drink it when I do not feel the baby move for a long period of time. She is normally a very active little girl during the day and still when I get ready for bed. She then wakes up and starts moving around about the same time that I do to get ther big brother up for school (he is 3).

OJ does not dehydrate you. also, OJ makes the baby move around more in utero, so it makes sense that she would move noticabley more when you drink it.

I mean don't drink a gallon a day. But a glass or two a day won't hurt.
