My 14 month old is schedule for surgery tomo. Of course, the docs will be checking him over, but he's had a bad cough for the past three days, it's just starting to improve. The clinic doc says his lungs are clear. They dont sound it, but hey...
Has anyone had a young child undergo surgery wih a bad cough and wheezing?

What is the surgery for, and can it be rescheduled when he is well? For me, getting an "elective" procedure (my tonsils and wisdom teeth which made me so sick it wasnt really "elective") I had to be well for surgery, or at least relatively.

My son conrtacted Hand foot and mouth the day he had surgery.
I noticed it on his feet and hands when they were wheeling him back in waiting for the surgery. They just put socks on him and made sure to be extra careful about washing their hands.

Orchiopexy, and it's been postponed twice due to colds (but i postponed it)
