Is it wrong to buy used toys for Christmas?

Question: Do you think it's wrong to buy used toys for Christmas? I will also be being brand new toys, but there is a baby consignment shop on every corner where I live and their deals are too good to pass up. I can add to the toy collection at home and start a toy box at my baby's grandparents' homes for when we visit if I buy used. Or would you consider that cheap and wrong?

Nope. I buy used stuff for my son. lol. He loves them, He doesnt know the difference between new or used [other than packaging].

Not at all. Some people can't afford new ones. Does that mean their kids shouldn't get toys?

Most of my kids clothes are from thrift stores and we have gotten some toys. I don't see anything wrong with it 

I don't think so. DD has lots of used toys.

no. i buy my kids used toys all the time from consignment shops. they get new things too. but it's more affordable to me to buy used. and they're so little, they don't even care.

my grandmother has a whole box full of toys they love to play with, that all came from the thrift store...

it's not about the price tag, it's about the happiness you bring your child..





also, i don't buy nasty, dirty toys. they have a lot of stuff in good condition..

My kid asks to go to goodwill on a daily basis for toys and books. I have no issue with buying him used stuff regularly or for holidays.

Well it depends how old your kids are. I would do it for mine but they are only 2 and 3. Once they are older I wouldnt though.

Not wrong or cheap. Just be careful and make sure nothing has been recalled.

NO i dont think so at all the way kids loose interest in toys so quickly save a little or get them lots for the prices  

I might do it while they are young... As they get older--I don't think so.

almost all the toys my son has now are used...we are only buying him 1 new toy for christmas since he will be so young but i get used toys all the time...my sister does too and our mom buys used toys for the boys for her house all the time....there is nothing wrong with it as long as they are in good condition
