Maybe I made the wrong choice?

I didn't have an abortion and I'm pregnant so I wasn't sure where to post this.
Both of my close girlfriends one already had an abortion last year, and one is planning on an abortion she is 6 weeks. She's 18, and my other friend and I are 19. I kept my baby. I mean I guess it's a little different? SO has enough money to allow me not to have to work while I'm pregnant and while I'm raising her first year. And I don't judge my best friends, or regret my little girl. But now I feel weird. Everyone around me is choosing not to have a their baby, and for decent reason. But me. Did I make a selfish choice. Idk. I'm confused. I'm 30 weeks, and even if I wasn't I don't think I would change my mind. but I just feel weird. /end rant.

Don't worry so much about everyone else. You made the best choice for you and that's really all there is to it.

hmm sounds like if they jump off a bridge you would want to do that too.

you did what was right for you, no reason to feel wierd about that.

Theres always adoption if you dont feel you are ready to parent?, just because they chose to have one dont mean you had to

Other people's choices should not effect your decision if you feel it is right for you.

Loads of my friends were having abortions when I decided to keep my kids. I'm 100% pro-choice, but every pregnancy it situational... while abortion might be best to some, it's not always the right choice for others.

I wouldn't focus so much on what your friends' situations are, because they obviously had legitimate reasons to why they aborted.

Who cares? Your life not theirs

If you can take care of your baby and support your baby and want your baby then you made the best choice for you. It just wasnt the best choice for your friends.

I didn't say I would change my mind. I was wondering about my age and the choice I made if I were being selfish. Their reasons were they weren't ready I felt ready. I hate when I choose the wrong thing to vent on here. I know BG women assume or read things out of context. Sorry.

They weren't ready, and I feel like they look at me one friend feels bad for what she did, and the other wants to keep the baby but doesn't think she can do it. I know I can do it. Nvm I didn't mean to sound like a follower.

Once you are holding that baby in your arms, and you are watching her grow...and you feel that love...that love you never knew existed, you'll know why you chose to keep her. She will be your reason for everything. She's giving you a new, different path in life. I applaud you for choosing this. It may be hard to keep some friends, especially if they are feeling any ill toward you (idk if they are, just saying). I find that being a mom doesnt allow much of a social life, but when i take a step back and look at the big picture..everything is so so worth. Home is where the heart is.
