entertaining your baby...

DD is nearly 11 weeks old, what did you do when your lo was this age to entertain them? She's perfectly contented just sitting in her rocker but should I be encouraging her to play with toys more at this age? This is a big learning experience for me as well as her lol...

we did alot of tummy time with our lo

I've never really understood that, does it just mean literally what it says on the tin? Time... on her tummy? Lol

Lots of right interesting colored toys. Get a toy mat and lay your lo on it and that will stimulate as well. They don't need a lot.

Uh... yeah. It helps them learn to do basic motor functions, such as crawling and scooting, and eventually sitting up on their own, standing, and walking...

DS is almost 11 weeks as well. We do tummy time a lot on his playmat and we'll put little toys on there and what not. He's just now getting interested in them though.

Like everyone said....TUMMY TIME!!! Super fun!

I have tried putting her on her tummy a lot but she isn't very good at holding her head up in that position, does it matter? She usually falls asleep during this too... -.-

DS was like this, then we started using the boppy during it and so it helped keep his head up and him awake

it helps them with holding their head up, upper body strength and lifting their legs. it spins, too so that baby can look at all the fun things on the mat   once baby is too big, the spinner can be removed and the mat can be used  

also, a baby gym! babies are simple creatures

DS is just realizing that stuff hangs from it lol. He is loving it!

I actually have one, but she still seems too young for it, I dunno maybe it's just me :') she looks wrong on it, lol.

i just laughed so hard! she's precious!

she does look wrong on it lol but i think she's supposed to learn to hold herself up on it...maybe she needs extra time on it

haha she is endearing that's for sure. yeah I'll keep trying her on it and hopefully she'll get the hang of it   I can't help but laugh at her on it though, lol.
