It's not an opinion - it's the truth. Names are based off of etymology, they are spelled certain ways for a reason. You don't spell words whatever way you want just to look unique, would you? No, because you would look uneducated.

I keep telling people, I worked a job where the GM threw away any application with a name that was not spelled correctly or that he couldn't pronounce on the first try.

Well its not your childs name so i guess you dont have to worry about it now do you? My daughters name is going to be spelled different then the "original" way. And i know plenty of people who spell their names different then the "original" way. I didnt think you HAD to have a name the "original" way cuz you'll look "stupid" if you dont.
