sleeping positions.

posted 3rd Dec
do you think your sleeping position really matters? i try my hardest to sleep on my left side, but always end up on my right side.. i know lying on your left side is better because blood flow and carries more nutrients to your baby.

I woke up on my back this morning. I don't think it really matters.

When I talked to the doctor about this she advised whether you lay on your right or left side it does not matter. The only thing you want to try to avoid is your belly (if you are at all uncomfortable on it) and your back the further along you get if possible. Laying on your back can slow the blood circulation and make you dizzy and such.

Whatever position you can get comfortable in is how you should sleep.

I always slept on a combination of side/stomach both left and right sides, but dominately right. 2 happy and healthy baby girls have resulted.

I can't lay on my sides do to baby girl pushing out one of my ribs. I try and get sleepy on my back, and then roll over to either the left or right side and pull a knee up to make sure I'm not putting too much pressure on my belly, but putting pressure on my rib cage either.

It doesn't matter much I guess as long as you get sleep. I hear a lot of women move to a recliner eventually.

Ew scary Like I said I try and get sleepy and comfy on my back, and then roll over and fall asleep before it starts hurting too bad.
