overdue/ no doctor/ no induction

Dont bother telling me about medicaid and all that. I have tried every single thing and no doctor will take me since this far along. I have medicaid and private but didnt get medicaid approved till this month and cant afford 3000 birthing fee from my private so my doctor cut me from his services.

Im officially 41 weeks. I keep going to labor and delivery to get nsts to make sure she is okay. Nurse treat me like smurf like im some irresponsible person. I asked what will happen if i get up to 42 weeks while they induce me? She said only a private doctor would after she laughed at me. The only way they would do anything like check fluids or what not is if the baby was in stress. It upset me. Im scared. What if i dont make it there in time? Or i have to get a csection? I was do confident in my body but now im losing it. I had my son at 39 weeks and 4 days and now im 41 weeks. uh. I just want her here to make sure shes okay. :*(

What the smurf? What doctor are you going to? As far as I am informed they can't reject you like that, they must take you in and when you get medicaid they should be able to take care of all the bills. I could be wrong, but it's still smurfed up that they are treating you this way, I'd see if I can do something.

They can't decline you once you are in labor. I would be doing all the old wives tales, all the natural inducing methods to try to get her out..

I know. I was waiting for medicaid to get approved and it took my job a long ass time to send in verification so they kept denying me. The lady wouldnt even schedule me an appt unless i paid the birthing fee in full even though i was waiting on medicaid. Then the doctor dropped me from his services because i couldnt keep up his care. :/

I've never heard of having to pay a birthing fee PRIOR to birth...especially if you explain to the office that you've applied for Medicaid, because Medicaid will pay your bills back to the date you applied...

Well if you have Medicaid now, find another doctor that accepts it asap and tell them your situation. Your old doctor sounds like a dick.

Wow. That is so weird, I've never heard from that. I myself, didn't have medicaid and no one ever denied me. I would do something about it.

I went through the same thing as you and was denied by a lot of places because I had medicaid through a certain county which I thought didnt matter it was a state wide thing... but this one county is smurfed up and still makes zero sense to me so I never had an OB from weeks 11 to 20 because of that and it really complicated alot... I know it can make you feel inadequate and like your a horrible person because that is how I felt but medicaid not only was a lengthy wait but no one smurfing takes it. I finally found someone to take mine and they are so not a place you would chose to go to first second or third to deliver your baby but it's still a dr for me... good luck.

I've never heard of this. Try contacting the low income clinic & see if one of their drs can see you, since they usually have a whole team. I would also go to a different hospital when your in labor

My doctor wanted md to pay the birthing fee up front or make payments. I talked with a lady in the billing department and told her i was uncomfortable paying anything until after i had my baby due to the fact that ive seen so many women on here lose their baby and also because im not due til january and the insurance deductiine resets in january so anything i paid before that might not be taken into consideration. Maybe try calling them to see if you can make payments or try a different doctor.

St. Johns hospital off of Nasa rd one.. Right by the hilton.. Is a non profit hospital. They will take you right in. I dont have insurance and clear lake rejected me but st johns took me right in. And I got 2 mris and a cat scan and each only cost me $150.

I heard about that place!! I just called utmb as a last hope. Last thursday i went to labor and delivery and the nurse said to call there so when we finally got a phone i called and they said they would see me this friday if not sooner. That was the first time someone gave me helpful information. The other times ive gone they give me a list of clinics but said they probably wouldnt take me. which they wouldnt. Ive been seriously contemplating writing the last doctor a letter. i thought it was really smurfed up.

The office was saying i didnt have to pay anything and then i had to. they were so stupid. did they let you do that? mine was due at 27 weeks. like no exceptions.
