Mine did let me wait to pay. Sorry youre having so much trouble. Thats bull that they would demand the money up front. God forbid something happen to the baby, youd never get your money back.

I have had the same problem with medicaid taking forever. I finally just got approved and will be 23weeks this Thursday which is when my first appointment is. I went to the ER 2 weeks ago for cramping and they sent me to L&D. Most of the nurses made me feel like crap about not having been to the Doctor but I couldn't afford it. At that time I still hadn't been approved and one nurse who was actually the nice one called down to the medicaid office and got someone to expedite my medicaid. I went to the er Monday and by Wednesday I had been approved!! Every time someone asks me what are you having or about the pregnancy I feel guilty and bad about not going and not knowing. I hate telling people so I just avoid it. Back to topic I think you should try a different hospital, I know it is hard trying to find help because I became so frustrated and it seemed like there was no help at times. Also try to naturally induce labor...Wishing you all the luck and a happy healthy beautiful baby

Out here when your pregnant & apply for medicaid you automatically get approved until your paperwork goes through. When I was pregnant with my 1st they didn't do this & I couldn't see the dr until I was almost 5 months
