Serious question for you.....
if you cannot ''advertise'' your religon than how do you aquire new followers of your faith?

Not if they promise to leave the Bibles at home, but after the Tsunami, they proved they couldn't do that.

Most religions don't have the desire to acquire new followers like christianity does.

When u believe whole heartedly that your God is ''The God'' of the universe you also have to believe that your God is everywhere and his disciples ''belong'' where ever he sends them.....

Most people are born into it or like me, find it on your own. If your heart and mind are open, you find it easily.

There are 1.2 billion people in India and 95% are Hindu. It's not going away anytime soon. The gods and goddesses have had followers for 5000 years in this lifetime.

am i correct in assuming that by ''finding it on your own'' you research several religions and picked the one u felt most compelled to put your faith in?

What I actually did was take the quiz on beliefnet 10 years ago when I realized I am not a Christian. I researched the top 5 religions that came up for me. I had gotten a 95% match with Hinduism. The only thing higher was Jainism, which is from the same region/background, but there are no Jain temples within an 8 hour drive of me. I already drive 2 hours one way to go to temple as it is.

but see, u were awarded the privaledge to pick your religion and offered choices.....the people in those counties where those religion originated arent allowed that luxury. They are expected to blindly follow the religon of their parents . Yet here in America , christian parents are bashed for attempting to share their christian faith w/their own children.

There is nothing illegal about teaching your children christianity in most countries. Jesus didn't say convert the masses, rather teach the gospel. Teaching is legal, trying to convert is not.

yes but the Bible says to go into all the nations and teach the Gospel.....not some of the nations or the nations that allow the Gospel. We are to ''plant the seed'' not ''convert'' people. Converson is a personnal decision between the individual a d their creator.
