Signs of peanut allergy?

We were planning on holding off on peanuts for a little longer because I have family with nut allergies. Well, DD found peanut M&Ms this morning and snuck one before I caught her. What signs of an allergy should I be looking for? How long should I give it before any signs come up?

(This is her second time having peanuts. The first time was when she just turned one and my dad gave her a peanut butter cookie without consulting me. She had no reactions that time.)

I would just keep a close eye on her. My son gets pretty cranky after eating it, but no anaphylaxis.
