Quoting BabyCowgirl *half way*:" I went in for my check up. Clayton is sounding great and kicking up a storm. Not having the dad in ... [snip!] ... I am just excited to meet my little man he is the only man I need in my life and the one who will always haven't heart! "
Everytime I read the stories from our mama's that are struggling with anything I really feel for you guys. Just makes me want to send big hugs your way.
I think for some of us that even have the men in our lives, we don't really one hundred percent feel like they are there even when they are there with us. My husband is really supportive, but he doesn't really say much when it comes to appointments. Every ultrasound so far he's been silent as heck, and it just feels as if he isn't even there to be completely honest.
So don't feel alone! It's a special moment that was made for you and nobody is allowed to be there that would ruin it or take away from it. So it's better off that you get to go to these appointments by yourself.
Sometimes getting family involved just further complicates things, so I think you doing what you have been doing is good enough. If he wants to be involved, he will, if he doesn't, at least you gave him a fair shot. It's not like you want to press the issue and give them the impression you want something, you don't want to give them any chance to hurl insults or harmful energy towards you.
I'm wishing you the best of luck, mama! Hang in there, all you ladies!
