That's freakin ridiculous! Maybe you can ask your doctor if he/she knows of any other places that do them? Mine's $80 for thirty minutes and you get a bunch of pics, a DVD and a CD (and you can have as many people in the room as you want). I read another thread about 3D ultrasounds and people were saying they pay like $150.. that's crazy!

Hi everyone, I am due June 12 with baby # 3, a GIRL! Can't believe its 24 weeks already, yikes time sure flies. Our first is 3.5 her name is Ziya, she starts school in September and is SUPER excited to have a little sister to dress up, and teach her the ropes. Our seconds name is Noah he is 1.5 and while he doesn't understand the younger sibling thing yet, he likes to kiss my belly and point and say baby.

Ahhh another girl! Congrats! I think we're all having girls lol. I'm due three days after you (also with a girl).

YAY a DD buddy with a baby GIRL too!! This is my second little girl and shes super excited to meet her little sister! Congrats and Welcome to our thread  

Went to my 22 week ultrasound today, she was definitely in a better position this time. She was laying on her back and very cooperative.

The tech managed to do a very thorough anatomy scan and even lingered on the baby for a bit so I could see her move her little limbs and hiccup. I could just watch that all day. I was so in love.

Still my baby girl.. that's three times checking so I don't feel worried about that anymore.

The tech said she was smiling here but whether you could see that or not I'unno. All I see is a bow on her nose and a mustard squiggle on her mouth. lol.. She called her a happy baby. I sure hope so.  

Aww hahah, too cute! I'm terrible at telling what's what in ultrasound pictures lol the first time they told me I'm having a girl I just took the lady's word for it, the second time around I could kinda tell lol.

Are anyone else's feet swelling already? Mine have been since I was like 17 weeks and it's only my left foot.. it sucks! Last pregnancy my feet didn't swell until I was way further along so I feel like it's too early for this to be happening lol.

lol I hear you on the ultrasound thing too. I found out the gender at the 4D place and she was like "oh it's def a girl" I was like "..yeahhhh.............I see."

 

But yeah the techs I get at my doctors office that do ultrasounds are terrible. They hardly ever talk to you and have no personality whatsoever. I had my friend go with me today since the appointment wasn't early enough for my husband to go and she asked the tech "So, how big is she?" and the tech replied "I dunno. She's whatever the books say." in a grumbly voice. It was so rude! I mean I kept cracking jokes at the weird shapes I was seeing and how at one point my baby looked like she was in a donut life preserver that made the tech laugh, and in turn probably got me a couple extra seconds of baby footage but I dunno. I'm really wishing I could have gone elsewhere for this whole pregnancy.

No swelling of the feet yet for me? I try to keep my feet elevated when i'm sitting up in bed. I'm kinda surprised I don't have nasty issues because i'm tall and so i'm always awkwardly crossing my legs, and I know you shouldn't.

I forgot to ask you ladies (Pregnancy fuzz..) but when you guys got your anatomy scan, did you guys see a clear 4 view of the heart chambers? I saw the tech only list that she saw 3.. and now that I think about that i'm feeling really paranoid.

Ugh, that sucks. My ultrasound tech ladies aren't too bad.. at my 20 week ultrasound though I was freaking out because the lady who did mine was the SAME lady who did my 20 week ultrasound with my last pregnancy and that's when I got all the bad news about my son, so that right there had me paranoid.. and then I was asking her if everything was okay and she was like, "Let me look and I'll let you know.." then she started asking me, "Have you done genetic counseling for this baby? Have you had any problems?" asking me all these questions, making me think something's wrong and at the very end of the ultrasound she tells me everything's okay. So of course I was having a heart attack the whole damn time cuz she's giving me the run around lol.

And I try to keep my feet elevated too but for some reason my left foot gets this weird tingly feeling and it starts to swell up way worse than my right one. My boo massages em though so that helps.  

And when I went to my last ultrasound she was in the perfect position to see her heart, so we saw everthying. Maybe your little one just wasn't in a good position to see all the chambers..

Well I called the Dr's office today and she said that the baby looked fine and they did find four chambers after all, so that was good news, but then they came to tell me that the doctor says I have a slight placenta previa. So she said no intercourse and no exercise.

Does anybody else have this issue? What does this usually mean? I mean no intercourse isn't going to kill me, but I really need to exercise. I've gained so much weight its insane. I went to my Endo dr for my hypothyroid and told him my concerns about the weight gain so he wanted me to pick up on the walking each day and watch what I eat. Argh.. if its not one thing its always another!

I have no idea what that even means, did they not really give you any info? Is it something you should worry about? And I think unless they put you on total bedrest, walks should be okay.. I mean it's not strenuous exercise. I mean I'd ask first but I think walks would at least be okay. And don't worry about the weight gain girl, I've already gained 30 lbs. 

I actually mentioned that I was going to do more walking but it was the nurse I was talking to on the phone and not the dr and even she was like "Yeah.. no." so I dunno! I looked it up online and it's basically when your placenta slides down into your cervix. If it ends up covering it completely then you have to end up doing a c-section, and depending on if you start bleeding early then you might have to have the baby prematurely.

Since mine is just a slight previa, there's a chance it could move up and out of the way so I think I just need to stay hopeful. I just.. have a tendency to freak out too much. xD
