Funny but not so funny story of the day

I work as an air medical dispatcher. Yesterday at work just before I left I heard a pretty nasty call go out over the scanner. A child struck by a vehicle, now a trauma arrest.......... those types of calls weigh heavy on your heart.......  

So last night I come home from work. Give my hubby and son a kiss and after they both go off to bed I start making Cody's snacks for daycare today. Around 1030 I finished up and went to bed. I woke up around 11:30 when I head this loud BANG........ And then I realized what happened.

I just put a *reaking hole in my bedroom wall with my head. WTF... ARE YOU SERIOUS? AM I ok? Yeah I'm ok.... But holy smurf that hurt. My husband sat up right away and was like "WTF was that and are you alright". I got up and moved to the edge of the bed. Felt like I was going to pass out. I slowed down my breathing and tried to calm myself down. I never passed out thank god. I really couldnt remember what happened, nor can I think why I would do that. There is a hole in my wall the size of a softball about 1/2 inch deep. So I lay there in bed worried. (Because of the field I work in.... you just see too much. Then again we make some of the worst patients). I didnt fall alseep until about 1am. I laid there nauseated and worried that I may now have a head bleed. lol (I know I shouldnt laugh) ..... I fell asleep and woke up when DH's alarm went off at 545.

I feel fine this morning other than a little headache and some lightheadedness. I thought about going to get checked out. But I think I'm fine. Then again... we'll see as the day goes on. I have to work at 7pm tonight. So I may have one of the docs take a peek at me later today.

The only thing I have figured out since then is I know I was dreaming about a garbage truck that was going to hit me and I was running from it. And then I woke up after I hit the bedroom wall.
NUTS!!!!

That's funny. But that hurts!!!! I do that all the time!!! We also have a window unit in our living room right above our couch and I ALWAYS smack my head on the corner of it

Aw. That is funny, but not...lol Must've been a crazy dream. Glad you're ok! Did you wake up with a goose egg?!

Nope, I don't have one at all. And I know I hit the wall pretty hard!

I just talked to my family doc. He wants me to go in for a CT Scan. I still have a headache and my head hurts like a mofo.

Sorry I didnt update you all earlier. I spent the day on the sofa yesterday. I went into the ER to be seen where I work. I have a concussion. Oh joy.... Supposed to rest a lot. Limit stimulation so not a whole lot of TV, Internet or anything else. just zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Feeling much better today. Still have a headache but I dont feel like Im on cloud 9.
