Still cramping....

So I've been having wicked cramping for the past week and a half. Never had this with my previous two, so was kinda getting excited/nervous that labour could soon be on its way.
Turns out I could keep having these cramps right up until 40 weeks...is this true? Anyone else suffer from crazy period like cramping right up until their due date???

YES! i delivered my boy 6 weeks ago and that was after about 2 months of nonstop cramping. with my first baby cramping was the beginning of labor so you can imagine my confusion...
