This. Some forget that you can get it from oral or even kissing. It doesnt have to be intercourse. Even just his penis grazing against you, no penetration... fooling around can transmit STDs too.

Most people said they did not test. I don't think many of these folks are sharing their thoughts though.

I cannot fathom this, so I am curious what others thought.

Was it because some of you as stated were both virgins, or just due to unforeseen spur of the moment type situations?

Or did you not because like my hubby you didn't care at that point in your life?

I used condoms and never went without them until my ex (after we were tested when the condom broke) and with Tony... I honestly didnt care. I knew I'd be with him for a long time, and so it didnt matter. Now.... I am scared smurfless of them. Being single and sleeping with someone new.... nuh uh hes getting tested.

But I dont ever want to be with another guy. Im fine with celibacy. I only want my ex.... seriously.

Yup, we both got tested.
Both of us are clean. I think it's irresponsible not to.

He's scared of losing you and getting hurt. I mean that's what a typical response is when someone feels that way...

No.... not at all. He knows I'd never hurt him. 5 years together and Ive never hurt him. Him? Hes cheated NUMEROUS times. Ive had guys hit on me and I stomp their asses out of my life. He has said that he will never meet a girl more faithful and true to him and his son than me. So thats not it at all. The fact is his smurfed up friend got some smurf into his head that single is better. And well, he wont smurfing talk to me. He is TRYING to lose me.

Cheating can actually be a defense. I definitely don't justify it. But some use it when they are scared they are getting too attached to someone.

I always make it a point to get tested every year, and also before starting sex in a new relationship as confirmation. I also require the same of my sexual partners. I usually just do my testing at home thru stdtestexpress due to the confidentiality and fast results, their number is 1-877-648-6415 for anyone that wants to inquire about their services. But I've only had one issue once when I asked a guy that I had been dating for a few weeks about getting tested for stds prior to us having sex. He got a little offended, and started telling me that he'd never had an std, blah, blah, blah. Needless to say, his non-cooperation was a complete turn off, and that was our last date.
