Depends if it's your first or more. The first one took me about 2 weeks to get back to normal completely. The 2nd one was about 3 weeks or so and the 3rd one was a little over a month

Sorry to go off topic but I saw you were due October 10th. I'm nosy, I guess- did you just have your baby, or what the heck does this mean?

oh YES! Get up and walk as soon as they allow you to. I know you won't feel like it because surprisingly it does take a lot out of you. But it does help with healing and getting you back.

I'm a year post partum and sometimes it still hurts, and it's still numb in areas.

My dr told me after my first one that I could be numb for years since they cut through all your muscles and nerves.

Where they pressed on me it hurt for about 3 weeks afterwards. They said that it would hurt longer being my 3rd one. The first one they didn't do that? If you want to breastfeed ask and make sure but you can take pain pills while breastfeeding and it won't hurt your baby. My dr okayed the ones I was taking. The only thing it did to my LO was made him a little bit more sleepy then normal but not enough that it hurt him any. He woke up to feed.

my incision hurt for about 3 weeks. Try to make sure your standing up straight...bad posture makes the healing process worse IMO.

Keep trying to breastfeed him. Try to do more breastfeeding then bottle feeding. he'll get used to the bottle and he won't latch after so long. I'm fighting with my son to keep breastfeeding but I'm stopping producing milk so I'm going to try and get the fengrek? and see if that helps produce more milk for me.
If he doesn't latch perfectly the first few times don't get discouraged. keep trying and if need be get help from a lactation consultant, GOOD LUCK MAMA!!!

Fenugreek, eating oatmeal and drinking a dark beer have really helped me a lot. I take 3 pills 3x a day with my meals. And make sure youre eating enough and drinking a lot of water.
