If you truly love that name for your baby then it doesn't matter anyone elses opinion. But my only comment on the spelling is that it would be easier for your child & family for you to pick a simple spelling of the name. But it is your choice.

You can't expect people to not insult your intelligence when the name you've picked makes you look like an illiterate moron.

If your goal is to make people pity your daughter, then good job!

Paisleigh makes me want to say P-as-lee

Etymology.

I was surprised no one said anything about it. I don't think she would understand either.

I used to work at a place where if the person applying didn't have a traditional name, he threw their app away without even reading it. LOL.

Think of it this way. Would you go to a doctor or a lawyer with the name Paisleigh? I would not, personally. It makes them seem unintelligent because their parents were unintelligent and that's hereditary.

Quoting TromboneMethod:" There isn't really a "correct" way to spell a name, you know I'm just being creative. At least I'm not picking a BORING name. "

LMAO - misspelling names is not creative, especially considering SO MANY people do it, it's very, very common.

Yes, there are correct spellings - names are based off of etymology, not random crap you pull out of your ass. A lot of the spellings up there don't even make sense according to phonetics and if you fail to even follow the rules of phonetics, then you must pretty uneducated.

Lastly, Paisley is really, really boring. It's posted on here ALL the time. It's jumped SIX HUNDRED (600) spaces on the social security list in the past 5 years (from 2006 - 2011) That means it's gotten super popular very quickly. I don't think that qualifies as "not boring".

Op, you seem to observe the rules of grammar, why not etymology? All your options look completely stupid.

Also, paisley is a terrible name imo. Even worse when misspelled.
