European seats are designed without the clips but they are just as safe. wanting to forward face a 5 month old is stupidity. it takes 5 sec to google that smurf.

DS weighs 35 lbs and will be 3 in April. And I saw on another post that it was six months so my bad. We had to front face DS early because he was too heavy for the rear face car seat. He weighed 25 lbs I think. I don't remember when we faced forward though

It was honest question. I had to front face DS early because his rear facing car seat was about to break because he was so heavy. It wasn't an "oh let's wait till he's this age" it was a safety thing. So my bad for being smurfing stupid.....

Get a convertible car seat. Most of them rear face to 40 lbs.

Ok then the one I have is different. I don't hav a convertible. I have a rear face carrier that came with the stroller and a front facing five point harness car seat. But I have 2 different front facing ones and my parents have another totally different front facing one lol

I don't remember how big he was but he was BIG for his age. Now he's about to turn 3 and he looks like a 4 year old.

The next step after a carrier is a convertible or rear facing car seat. You don't go from a carrier to a forward facing! The carseat you actually posted is a convertible. It rear faces to 35lbs!

He sounds much smaller than mine. That is still no reason to start forward facing early. Many carseats have a big range in weight & height.

Oh. It didnt say that in the description I don't think lol. I have 3 different forward facing car seats in 3 different cars lol. And I didn't, and still don't, have the money to get a convertible carseat. The car seat in my car was given to me by a neighbor and the one my parents had was a brand new one (I somehow ended up with it) and now my parents have a whole other new one.

My step mom switched him and he fit perfectly in the forward facing one. Now it's getting a little small. We don't have the money to get a new one /:
