To get irriated when my husbands ex girlfriend that he has a son with calls and talks about what's going on in her life? I understand talking about how their son is doing but talking about what's going on In her or her families life is really unessesary.

DH's ex wife does the EXACT same thing   it's annoying but he doesn't care and tries to get off the phone as soon as possible. It bothered me before but now I just laugh because she's always trying to make him jealous and he ignores her lol.

Irritated with who though? If your DH doesn't put a stop to it... you shouldn't be upset with her. Although I don't see a problem with a friendship/venting at all.

No, my SO's ex does the same thing. I get irritated, but just let her ramble on because I know it will be a while before she actually does it again. She tends to get chattier in the couple of days before the child support is due, but once it's paid she backs off. I think that she, for some unknown reason, thinks that it won't get paid or something. It's been paid like clockwork for almost 2 years, I don't think we're going to forget now  

Have you talked to him about it? I'd be annoyed w/ him, not her.

I could understand it being annoying.
I got along best with my ex/daughter's father when he was with someone else, so we'd actually talk/talk (granted, he initiated it)
A year later we got back together, but, i'd let him know it's bothering you.

I can see why you would be jealous but if it is family issues maybe he was close to the family so he can understand. I have a sucky mom and if me and my husband split I would talk to him about it because he has known me for so long and knows the situation. Kwim?

My DH has told her in the past, i call for my son not to talk about your life. But i guess she just doesn't get it.. so he's stopped saying anything to her. But it bothers me even more when im in a bad mood and she calls and they're on the phone for like 10 minutes!

Its not jealousy, i dont mind them being friends! But it just gets annoying after a while.. When im already in a bad mood and she calls to tell my DH about whats going on in her sisters life its annoying! She's told my DH she has a boyfriend now so why doesnt she talk to him about her problems?

I would want to keep up to date with her family life is my child would be living it as well.

If it's only 10 minutes I wouldn't be getting upset over it.

if it's not jealousy, and she is not talking to you, then why do you ever care?

I get along well with my ex. I call him (i have custody of our children) and he calls me and we talk about our relationships and everything. I don't see the problem.
