2nd baby

For those of you who had a baby one right after the other, either on purpose or on accident:
How soon did you get pregnant after having the first?
Did you have any complications with your pregnancy, birth, and/or child?
Does any one if there are risks involved in getting pregnant so soon after giving birth?

I got pregnant when my Ds was 9 months old. I had tons of problems with the pregnancy and he ended up being slightly premature. The risks are higher if your last pregnancy was less than a year prior.

my girls are 14 months apart 3 and 2. I don't think I had any complications just was a lot of stress on my body. That kind of thing but pregnancy does that. I have heard tho with c-sections if you don't wait a year there could be problems with the scar area and the placenta attaching to it. I'm 23 weeks now and when I have this one the girls will be almost 4 and 3.

Got pregnant with my son when my daughter was like around 15 months and there 2 years and 1 month apart. My son ended up coming at 37 weeks. He didnt have any problems. But I was put on bed rest at 32 weeks and had take pills every day keep the contractions from starting.

i got pregnant again when my 2nd daughter was 5 months old and because it was too soon and the doctor said i didnt have enough time to recover i eneded up miscarrying at 10 weeks...but i think everyone is different cause i have a friend who got pregnant at 3 months pp and she had a normal pregnancy tho she was exhausted!

my daughter was 15 months and now shes 17 months im due in may

I got pregnant about 2 months after my son and didn't keep it. I got pregnant again 6 months later and my kids are 18 months apart .

My ppregnancy was hard I was on stricked bedrest for 2 1/2 months and on bedrest for almost half my pregnancy I was showing sings of labor at 14 weeks bleeding for 2 months everyday like a heavy period by the end everything was a little better

I'm trying to determine when the best time to start for number 2 will be and the time just keep getting closer and closer to now, bc i want another so badly anyway. But I have better chances of getting pregnant sooner within my first year of having my first baby, bc once that year is up it will be a lot harder for me to get pregnant due to this damn PCOS.

They told my mom that and she got pregnant with me on accident when my brother was 2.

See that's what i'm worried about. Some people have issues and others don't. A girl I know has 3 under 3! and The only issues she has is early labor just a few weeks early tho, but she even had that with her first baby. She always went around 36 weeks. Her last actually made it to 37. And none had health issues after birth.

Did your last pregnancy go well? I think it just depends on the women's body itself. I suppose if you had problems before you will probably have those problems again. I had blood pressure issues and GD with both. I even have both now, well not so much the blood pressure issues yet. I was told that if I wanted more then one child I should keep them close or only up to 2 possible 3 years appart because they aren't sure how my back will be in the future. I have constent back spasms right now, but I knew I would when I got pregnant.

Yea with my condition my doctor recommended I try within the first year, But I honestly want/need to loose more weight. I only gained 30 with my first and lost it in less than 2 weeks. But I wasn't happy with the weight I started out at before I got pregnant. I wouldn't mind loosing like 15 more at least before the next baby. and my pregnancy was like a walk in the park. I even went into labor on my own 3 days early, and it was my first child!

Thats great! I was induced both times unfortunately. They say exercising before can even help with getting pregnant.

I was scared I was going to have to be induced bc I showed no signs of even starting labor! But my little man came in less than 12 hours start to finish and was freaking 8lbs 10oz! Another worry I have for when I get pregnant again is a fast labor. we are moving and the closest hospital that I can give birth at is a good 30-40 mins away but with traffic it could be longer!

I got pregnant when my son was 3 months old. That 2nd pregnancy was definitely harder and more painful. I was a lot more tired but that could have been because i had a baby to care for lol. I had low fluid asst the end and had have a repeat csection since they won't induce vbacs, buy i had low fluid with the 1st pregnancy too. W did find out after the c section that the placenta had begun to perforate the scar tissue on my uterus and that could have been VERY dangerous had i had a. vbac. Dr said it was from getting pregnant so close to having a cs and having an anterior placenta.
