Yea. The hospital I go to is just a small one. If everything goes fine then the baby stays with me, BUT if there are problems or I have to delivery really early then the baby would have to go to a hospital with a NICU and thats at least an hour a way. That scares me a ton. Well 12hrs would still be long enough to get to a hospital just since its so far away don't second guess yourself just go if you think you are. Better safe then sorry in that situation.

These hospitals as so small they won't even deliver! It makes me actually just want to drive the hour back to the town we currently live in to have my baby. Since traffic this way is slow. single lanes. When I was in labor this time my husband made the drive back in less than 30 mins so he wouldn't miss the birth, he was at work at the time lol.

Well see the drive can be done. I can't afford the gas really up and back for each apt at the bigger hospital or I would definately do that. Since my specialist is up there however they can deliver my baby if I go to soon. I delivered last time at 38 weeks it was at the small hospital. 7lbs 4oz. no problems for her.   I worry to much. LOL.

I have family this way so I could make a day out of it since my appointments were only 5mins long the entire time I was pregnant lol. I got weighed, peed, and they listened for the heart beat and I was on my marry little way. The only thing that took a while was the ultra sounds but that was done at the hospital. Plus I wouldn't even know where to begin to look for an OB in the bigger town or what hospital to go 2 bc I think there are like 3 or 4 of them.

Thats a lot of hospitals! :O I have to do Nst tests soon its every 2 weeks or maybe every weeks. I'm not sure. 2 years and I forget everything. grr. lol. But yes normal dr. apt are like that right now for me too. I think the family would like to see you as you grow to so it sounds less stressful for you to do it the longer way. If you liked your first doc and trust them then don't change. I have 4 ob's I have no clue who will deliver me. I seem to like them all. Lucky me. lol. It's a group and they rotate each time you go in. A bit confusing to keep track of who you see but other then that its peachy.

I would hate that, I would feel like I get asked the same questions at every appointment bc it's been months or weeks since each one has seen you! But if you get along with all of them I wouldn't see a problem with it!
At my 6 week pp check up I had my doctors asst. ask me questions, a student intern come in and ask me the same questions 3 mins later (I barley had my pants off and covered when she came in lol) and then my actual doctor come in and ask me the same questions 4 mins after her! Not to mention they were basically the same ones I had to fill out before I even went in to my appointment. So I think i'd be annoyed by having so many different doctors lol.

They ask the basics how your feeling and look at my charts. They write a lot of stuff down in the charts. I think they go over then a few days before because not all of them work on the same day. Thats why some days I have to go straight after work because its the only day the Doc is in and not on my day off. That is a buz kill. lol. Next time you get the asst. just ask for all of them to come in. Do it all at once. LOL. I did my last ultrasound it took an hour n half laying down and then the Doc came in and was trying to do the same thing the tech couldn't do and she couldn't do it either. I was getting alittle tired of all the pushing. that was another 20mins..maybe its procedure on that one, but my unborn daughter did not want to face us. So they couldn't get all the head measurements. She is also really low.
