I'm having pains in my lower back that goes to my belly and it tightens and the pain doesn't go away

Time them - sounds like contractions. If you're worried though, the nurses at l&d are always extremely understanding. Their motto is better safe than sorry!

OP you'll need to be able to tell them how far apart they are, and how long they're lasting. If not, they'll tell you to stay home and time them.

Use contractionmaster.com
It will tell you the duration and how far apart they are. You can even print the results to give to the nurses.

I would wait until they get closer together, but that's just me. I labor at home as long as possible. With both pregnancies we didn't go in until they were 2 minutes apart and lasted about a minute long.

Your stomach is suppose to get hard during contractions lol i would definitely go if they are that close together.
