If it were me, I'd wait until they were 2 minutes apart. But if you feel you need to go in, then go.

For me, as the contractions became closer together, they got longer. Mine with Asher were 2 minutes apart, and lasting 90 seconds long. I forgot how bad they hurt..lol Our oldest is 4 years old.

Why are they not lasting long

I'm having really really bad pain down there

I feel like I'm being stabbed down there

with both my kids my contractions only lasted 40 seconds and were about 90 seconds apart every one is different   how far away from the hospital are you??

About 10 mins

you may want to give L&D a call and just let them know whats going on so they can be ready for you if your baby is on its way and call your doctor and fill them in as well and they will tell you when to head in and with only being 36 weeks they may have you come in so they can monitor and make sure everything is ok...

I hadvto call my soon to be husband and he is coming home my pain is so bad
