Ear infections?

I was just curious if there are any other moms that never had problems with ear infections until after their LO was 2. I was a SAHM up until this past August and I started nursing school. My DS goes to daycare and he started having ear infections due to constantly being sick with a cold..he is on his 3rd infection in 8-10 weeks and we are on our third antibiotic. His pedi said if this one doesn't work he was going to refer him for tubes. I was just curious if anyone else experienced this before, TIA for replies!

My son had to get tubes a month before he was 4. I know how the ear infections are.   Im sorry the little guy has to go through that. I know it was painful to watch my son to go through.

My daughter started getting them when she was 1 1/2ish and they never went away. She was constantly sick for 9 straight months. When we finally did tubes, it all stopped. I don't think she's been sick since but I also pulled her out of daycare.

I had tubes 3 times , I've been lucky my kids dont have my hearing problems or anything.

Yea, it sucks, I don't really have a choice but to put him in daycare..I really like where he is at..hes just nonstop sick with colds from all the kids being on/off sick. I feel like daycare is the reason behind it all, but am suck with that until next summer and I can put him in the private school where my daughter goes   I don't have any family around to help me out

I completely understand your situation. I am all for daycare. I started taking her 2 days a week just for the interaction and she was missing every other week because she was so sick and you still have to pay for the days she wasn't there. It just wasnt worth it. That and I dropped her off one day knowing she was getting sick. I called to check on her and they said she was fine. I showed up that night and she was in the corner crying alone while the teacher was sitting playing with another employees daughter. As soon as I walked in she got up to go try and calm her down. After that I was done with It
