No but I have never been hurt doing laundry. I'm sure it's a minority (not even sure HOW someone could be hurt??), but with that being said, I'm not going to shelter my child from doing laundry because she 'might' get hurt. She 'might' get hurt riding her bike. She 'might' stub her toe on her bed frame. She 'might' step on a lego. That is a dumb argument.

No she does have some issues. And we have been trying to work through the issues with a variety of different things. Everything she is doing chore wise is well within her skill levels. Shes a one step forward two steps back child so some days are great and other arnt.

Regardless. I will still disagree here. Sure the dishes sweeping, her room and picking up her stuff is fine. I find laundry excessive for that age.

I never had chores, I'm one of the cleanest persons I know, meh.

We dont think it is so much resentment, but it does have to do with her mom, and her grandma for sure. Which is also why we go forward and back on her improvement. We dont think that she doesnt like me, more that her gma is telling her not to like me.

There's a difference in a skinned knee and losing a limb. Many people have lost limbs from washing machines.

I don't think not doing chores makes one filthy. But I do think that it teaches valuable lessons.

Are you being serious right now? Seriously? My daughter is 3 and already helps me with doing laundry (just putting it in the machine). I'm sure more people have died/been seriously injured in car accidents than have lost a limb to a washing machine. I think more people have been raped by a dolphin than lost a limb by the washing machine.

You are ridiculous. Seriously ridiculous. Dolphin rape, while real (LOL) is far less common than washing machine injuries.

I've googled and I only found two accidents, both involving toddlers. One toddler lost his arm after climbing in a washer, the other drown in a washer. Horribly tragic stories, but we're not talking about a toddler, we're talking about an 8 year old. I didn't find any stories about an adult/child/teenager losing a limb to a washer.
