I don't think that alone is a big deal. I wouldn't make an 8 year old do all of the other stuff on a daily basis though.

OP didn't say SCRUB the bathroom, she said keep it tidy. Probably means not leaving clothes on the floor or taking the hamper out, making sure there is TP on the roll, wiping up toothpaste with a cloth, etc.

Making a way bigger deal out of it then it is....

I don't thing the lap thing is wrong of you either. I don't even like when my daughter will ONLY sit in my lap, and we had that problem before. I don't mind hugging/cuddling/kisses/occasionally having her in our laps, but there is such a thing as too much.

She doesnt clean the bathroom. She is only incharge of tidying it. So keeping the clothes off the floor and putting her hair stuff back when she is done. I go through and clean the pot and stuff.

If she is pooping her pants at 8 There's emotional issues needing addressed, not punishment. Is it really that hard to throw some messy panties in the wash? To me It sounds like She needs some help and extra love not being made to feel shameful or punished for it.

I was handwashing dishes, doing my own laundry, cleaning my room and the kitchen and vacuuming when I was that age. I had the same exact chores as my sister that was 4 years older than me and we alternated days, like she would vacuum one day and I would vacuum the next. We also alternated dishes but we both did them everyday. So one day she would wash all of the plates/bowls and I would wash all of the flatware/cups/glasses and change it everyday. Sorry but I think having chores at a young age is very important for children to develop cleanliness/hygiene and responsibility.

She stopped pooping her pants, and it was a short lived (and stressful faze) and she is seeing a counselor. And honestly it started as her to wash her stuff, and now she enjoys it. She likes to have control of things. And that is just one thing she gets to be completely in charge of. Its her stuff, and she likes to do it a certain way, it only happens once sometimes twice a week.

There's nothing wrong with chores. But doing laundry alone at that age is dangerous. You know how many grown adults even get hurt doing wash?

I'd agree, if it weren't for me having read OP's past threads and knowing his child is not the average 8 year old

She is supervised when she does it. Its a front loader, so she can reach all the buttons and if she stands on the pedestal she can reach the soap thing,
