LOL yeah, they can be. I think you can order stuff online through HL though, if it's something you want to browse.

i buy each letter for 5 dollers. they take anywhere from 2 to 5 hours a letter depending on the detail. then i always ship for free so when you think about it im making nothing really . on etsy people are charging over 25 dollars a letter so i think my charging 10 is extremely cheap and a great price.

I think you have a good price for your letters.

Also people should realize that they don't have to get their child's entire name.. Initials can be cute too !

I like Michael's letters better than hobby lobbys out here. I just use scrapbook paper and the original staples/brads that come with the letters but not for sale just for my own kids and friends as gifts.

OP instead of handpainting to save on cost and time, could you like decoupage? or w/e it's called? I see ebay ppl do it all the time with baby bedding sets on light switch covers, ceiling fan blades, etc. That or try to sell on Etsy and/or Ebay.

thank you   i had a lady who ordered 13 letters . she saw all the ones on etsy and wasnt paying the 25 dollars for the same thing. i dont get my letters from hobby lobby cause i dont paint on cardboard type "wood" i paint on real wood that will last longer then that

i dont use paper cause you cant get paper that will match the baby bedding and i personally dont like it.

Well I understand the time and effort put into them and they really are very good, but you know... the thought of spending $70 on 1 kids name just doesn't sit well with me. I guess I'm cheap  

But there is absolutely NO way I'd ever pay $25 a letter, that is crazy, to me.

i know there are people who think 10 dollars a letter is to much but thats what i feel is a good price and have been told i need to charge more. i have to make money to and like i said before im really only making a few dollars a letter

was just a suggestion. either way I love your work   and yeah I wouldn't pay $25 $10 is a better deal for sure. Sounds like you do it as a hobby rather than make a living off of it best of luck hope you sell a ton!
