Popcorn String

I've threaded about 5ft of popcorn. We are getting a 7-8 foot tree, medium width around. About how long should the string be total? I'm bad at guesstimating sometimes, and this is one thing I usually guess too short...

We have a 6 ft tree & it takes about 15ft of garland to wrap around it 4 times

I never thought to put popcorn string up, but I think my dog & my 5 yr old would eat it off the tree. Lol
