Nurses hired for abortion services

If you worked at an abortion clinic as a Nurse, what were your roles during the abortion process?

Did you have to sign something stating you wouldn't provide care during an abortion, or you would provide care only in an emergency?

Also, I realize this is a tacky question but if you are/were against abortions, why did you apply for a nursing position at an abortion clinic?

ETA: I've had an abortion. the nurses who were there with me every step of the way were very kind and sweet to me. I don't know how some of them do it, but if it weren't for one nurse I probably wouldn't have agreed to do the abortion. I applied her for her service..

A nurse technically can't be fired for not wanting to assist abortions, but I can't see a nurse applying to work at an abortion clinic.  

But yeah, you would have to sign something in the contract stating that you are against helping out with abortions.

as a nurse, you advocate for your patient. you put your patients wants/desires before your own. you have to understand how you feel on that issue and be able to recognize what your beliefs are and know where to draw the line when it comes to possibly pushing your beliefs onto the patient.
i have never worked in an abortion clinic but for me i would be there for my patient every step of the way without judging, etc. i am pro choice, but i could never personally get an abortion myself. you cant let your beliefs influence how you care for your patient.

i would think they could be if it is in their job description. why would a.nurse not apply to work in an abortion clinic? maybe the nurse had been in the same situation and wants to help others get through it?

A nurse who is against abortion, I mean. Why would she apply to work at an abortion clinic?
