Giving birth alone

I need to know if anyone has given birth alone. I'm doing my waterbirth VBA2C at home with my Midwife but I don't have anyone for support.

Any advice or tips? It just hit me that I don't have anyone to be there for me...

Have you considered hiring a doula?

do you have any friends or family that can be their to support you?

Do you have a good friend in area? Maybe a family member. Is your partner not around?

is there anybody close to you that would make you feel more at ease? if not, maybe find a medical professional who helps comfort people for a living.

I wasn't alone for my VBAC my husband was present but once I was in transition I really didn't care that he was there b/c he couldn't do anything for me. I just wanted the nurse to get the baby out..lol My husband touched my head during a contraction and I yelled at him not to touch my head..lol I am with the others on finding a doula to help you with the breathing and just help be your voice but I am sure your midwife would do great with that as well. My nurse was great with reminding me to breathe in and out during my contractions and just giving me the motivation, reminding me that I was going to have a successful VBAC

I would be there for you if I could   I didn't really need support I didn't want my boyfriend even in the room lol!! I felt just as safe and happy with the doctor and nurses. I know people are different though I guess the emotional side of sharing your baby with your partner. Wish glen wasnt a douche and could be there just for support for you!
