Did I FINALLY find a girl name?!

I have ALWAYS had issues with girls name... I will like something moderately, husband will agree, and the more I think about it, I HATE it. Anyway with our son I'd posed the name Evangeline, and he disliked it. We were out last night and he asked something about the name Eva, and asked if that was the person's whole name, or short for Evangeline. I said that particular person was just "Eva" and said "Why do you like Evangeline?" "It's not bad at all." So I posed to him using it as our name. He says "Why not, you'll just change it in a few weeks anyway!" But I really don't think I will, I've LOVED "Evie" for years. So I think we may finally have it!!

I think it is a nice name with lots of nicknames and it has a great flow.

Thanks! I hope it does too lol. Whhhy do I have such issues with girl names? So not fair lol. Boy names are a piece of cake. Rory was named before he was conceived. We'd decided on a boy name for this one before I even got a positive test. Yet we've been arguing over girl names since before we were married 3 years ago lol

Girl names are way harder in general b/c there are SO many to choose from it seems, or that is my impression. Boys names have been fairly easy for me as well b/c the pool is shrinking, thanks to these gender benders.

That may be why. And maybe because boys names are actually simpler, and not as complex in a way? Easier to find ones that sound nice together?

Very true! Girls names on the other hand...it is a jungle. That, and I think people usually go more traditional with boys names and don't care too much for popularity while they go more "unique" for the girls!

If you're still looking, I'd vote for Nora.   I think Nora's a cute name and I'll never get a chance to use it myself.

I try to go with less popular for both. Rory was 700+ when we picked it. This time our choice is in the 100s. A little high for me, but eh it's still a great name   and Evangeline is like 258. Amelia is like 30 bleh!
